Rekaz is the first Company specialized in the manufacture of plastic roof tiles in North Africa.

The Company is located in the industrial zone of ​​Misrata, 200km west of Tripoli, on a land area of ​​16000 square meters.

The main activity of the Company is in the roof industry and related accessories of the latest technology under the supervision of crews highly experienced in this area. The Company has the ability to make it strongly competitive in this industry. The Company has all the experience, potential and possibilities to be competitive based on both price and quality.

The Company provides all technical support and installation methods of the product whether for the trader, builder or the consumer.

The idea ever since the first shipment of plastic tiles was imported in the beginning of 2012, was to locally manufacture the finished plastic tile product.  Where the Company’s main activity had been the import and trade of building materials, including raw materials for the manufacture of steel sheet forming, the idea was to also manufacture plastic tiles. This became an intensive two-year project, which required a great deal of study and included successfully marketing the product in the local market.

The concept was eventually adopted in 2014, despite the many obstacles and difficulties in manufacturing the product compared to the forming of steel. Passion for the idea drove the young people in management, along with their ambitious outlook and strong desire to succeed.  The shift to manufacture locally would also support the local economy.

The management of the Company are grateful for the successful implementation of this project, first to God and then the efforts of national cadres overseeing the process of production.

The successful manufacturing of very high quality product enables the Company to negotiate competitively at the same time for the imported raw material. Hence making our product very popular in the local market due to availability, competitive pricing and high quality.  We can even say our product has become a competitive substitute for the imported product based on both quality and price, or even in terms of high production on-hand capacity, which offers minimal lead-times.

  • During the first year of production we were successfully able to meet the needs of the local Libyan market.
  • During this first year the Company also participated in several international exhibitions.
  • The Company began exporting its finished product, to some African countries, at the beginning of the second year.
2017 | The Ambition

The management team of the Company remain youthful and are constantly looking for new ideas to increase and improve the business.  Ambition is their passion.

The main focus will be to successfully market the product in the international market, in order to fully utilise the current over capacity.  In turn this will assist the business in becoming financially stable due to revenue being generated in international  currencies.  This will be achieved by searching out advertising methods in international markets, creating networking opportunities through international exhibitions, and maintaining good relationships with our suppliers of raw materials.

In conjunction, the range of products will be diversified to include a wider range of options and include the manufacture of supporting products.
